Meet Brendan Considine, pictured here testing some rubber band / stretch exercise therapy. Brendan has been with the Center for many years and oversees several classrooms and is also our unofficial IT guy. Brendan loves espresso and any Apple product. When he is not at TRC, Brendan enjoys playing the violin with the Youngstown Symphony and spending time with his wife and children. Thank you, Mr. Brendan, for all you do!
Meet Jeanette Leon! Ms. Jeanette has been at TRC for 3.5 years. She is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. Jeanette currently lives in Brookfield with her husband Bobby and her son RJ. If she could wish for one thing for The Rich Center it would be an age appropriate playground. She loves to work with the kids and says that they “brighten her day!” In her spare time she loves to garden and relax at the beach. Here’s Ms. Jeanette with her friend, Simone. Thanks for being part of the TRC family, Jeanette!
Meet the Team Monday featuring Anthony (Tony) Candel! Mr. Tony is one of our veterans here at TRC, having been a teacher for 10 years – WOW! He is a graduate of YSU and lives in Howland with his wife, Lindsay, and their 5 children. Between his 5 kiddos and his TRC kids it’s no wonder that Mr. Tony love Triple Grande Peppermint Mocha’s from Starbucks. He says the best thing about working at TRC is definitely the children. “Watching them achieve goals that we thought were impossible is awesome!” Well, Mr. Tony, we think you are pretty awesome, too – thanks for being part of the team!
Pam has been at TRC for 4 years. Pam lives in Warren with her husband and their newborn son, Michael. Pam describes her life as the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”. If she wasn’t at The Rich Center she would be a personal trainer or a stay at home mom so she can watch the Maury Show and raise Michael (hopefully not with tips she learned from Maury!) She loves the camaraderie among the staff at The Center and seeing the success of the students. Here is Pam with Jared (sitting) and Sebastian (standing) in our BCOE classroom.
Alexandra (Ali) Lessick
Meet the Team Monday featuring Alexandra (Ali) Lessick. Ali has been teaching at The Rich Center for over a year and is currently in our Early Intervention Room. She is a graduate of Youngstown State and is currently pursuing her masters degree at YSU. Ali lives in Girard, with her parents and sister, whom she describes as her best friend.
She says the best part of working at TRC is the kids. “Being able to see the progress that each and every child makes day by day and year after year is truly rewarding.” Thanks for being part of our Rich Center Family, Miss Ali. (shown here with her friend, Sumaya)
Meet the Team Monday features our Classroom Supervisor, Tia Johnson! Tia has been at The Rich Center for 10 years – wow! Tia lives in Youngstown and is a graduate of YSU. Her favorite restaurants are Springfield Grille, Youngstown Crab Company, and Zanibar. In her spare time Tia volunteers at Game Changers, a non-profit mentor program and she is also an alumni volunteer with her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta.
If she could have one wish for The Rich Center it would be for a bigger building because we are “busting at the seams!” Tia says that the best thing about working at TRC is the students, she loves watching them grow academically and change behaviorally. “I love the fact that we make a difference in our student’s lives. That alone is very rewarding! I also love the family working environment.”
Meet Joe Corpa! Mr. Joe has been with The Rich Center for almost a year and is currently teaching in the High School 1 classroom. He is pursuing his masters degree in the ABA Therapy program at YSU and lives in Youngstown with his wife Jasmine and their dog, Duke.
When asked what one thing he wishes The Rich Center could have he replies, “a larger gym for the children to play and exercise in.” In his spare time Joe enjoys exercising, spending time with his family and watching superhero movies.
